Scott Swinburne is a pioneer healthcare executive with more than 15 years of experience leading addiction treatment, multi-site operations, regulatory compliance, program development, financial performance, and organizational growth.

Prior to joining Tandem Behavioral Health as Chief Executive Officer, Scott spent more than 11 years with Acadia Healthcare, most recently serving seven years as Regional Director. In this role, he provided operational leadership and oversight across behavioral healthcare programs, with a focus on quality, compliance, financial performance, and sustainable growth.

Earlier in his tenure with Acadia, Scott served as Director of Western Michigan Treatment Center, where he successfully opened the first comprehensive treatment center of its kind in West Michigan. He oversaw all aspects of facility operations, including state and federal regulatory compliance, CARF accreditation, DEA requirements, staff recruitment and development, financial performance, policy implementation, and community relations.

Scott began his leadership career at West Brook Recovery Center, advancing from Recovery Support Manager to Interim Program Director and ultimately Program Director. During his tenure, he helped secure a three-year CARF accreditation, expanded professional referral networks, strengthened the organization’s community presence, and contributed to measurable growth in patient admissions.

As CEO of Tandem Behavioral Health, Scott brings extensive experience building high-performing teams and developing compliant, patient-centered behavioral health programs. His leadership is focused on operational excellence, strategic growth, clinical quality, and expanding access to effective behavioral healthcare in the communities Tandem serves.
