Addiction and Recovery Alumni Program
Program Purpose:
Tandem’s Alumni Program provides continued connection, support, and encouragement to individuals in recovery after completing treatment services. We believe recovery is a lifelong journey, and our alumni community offers a safe space to stay engaged, build positive relationships, and celebrate growth.
Who Can Participate:
- Graduates of Tandem’s 2.5 PHP and/or 2.1 IOP programs
- Individuals who completed treatment at other programs and are active in their recovery.
- Alumni of Tandem services who wish to maintain connection through our alumni community.

Program Values:
- Voluntary participation — no forced or formal contracts
- Open door for those in recovery — including those who completed treatment elsewhere

SOP: Alumni Program Participation
- Eligibility & Referral
- All graduates of Tandem 2.5 and 2.1 are offered entry into the Alumni Program at graduation.
- Other individuals may self-refer by contacting the Alumni Coordinator or Peer Recovery Team.
- Enrollment Process
- Alumni receive a graduation certificate and alumni badge.
- Alumni are added to the alumni contact list and online group (with consent).
- Permission obtained to allow follow-up contact.
- Follow-Up Schedule
- 1-month post-discharge: check-in call or email.
- 3-month post-discharge: follow-up contact.
- 6-month post-discharge: follow-up contact.
- Ongoing: invitations to events, groups, online group updates.
- Alumni Group & Events
- Monthly Alumni Group facilitated by staff or peers.
- Invitations to quarterly events and annual alumni retreat/outing.
- Option to volunteer in service projects with community partners or Tandem-sponsored opportunities.
- Private online alumni group offered to foster peer connection.
- Peer Recovery & SA Case Management
- Interested alumni may connect with Peer Recovery Specialists for continued support.
- Alumni may enroll in SA Targeted Case Management services — referral and enrollment coordinated by Admissions & Alumni Coordinator or Clinical Director.
- Mentoring & Leadership
- Select alumni may be invited to serve as mentors for current clients, share recovery stories at events, or assist in alumni program leadership.
